Glossary
Landed cost
Landed cost is the total cost of a product delivered to the buyer's door: purchase price plus freight, insurance, duties, taxes and handling.
Where it appears in procurement
Landed cost is the right basis for comparing quotations from different countries or on different Incoterms. Unit price alone hides most of the difference.
Example
A EUR 0.28 unit price from overseas can exceed a EUR 0.31 domestic price once freight and duty are added.
In Complyra
Complyra records unit price, shipping cost and delivery location on quotations so the comparison is not limited to unit price. A dedicated landed-cost calculation is not a current feature.
