Quote comparison

Quote comparison is the evaluation of several supplier quotations against the same requirement to choose which to accept.

Where it appears in procurement

A sound comparison normalises quotes to the same basis (quantity, currency, delivery terms), includes shipping and lead time, and treats missing compliance evidence as a cost or a disqualifier rather than ignoring it.

Example

Three quotations for the same RFQ are laid out with unit price, total including shipping, delivery date and whether the requested certificates were attached; the lowest unit price is not the lowest total.

In Complyra

Complyra shows quotations submitted against an RFQ side by side, including for multi-supplier RFQs, so the comparison uses the same fields for every supplier.
