Multi-supplier RFQ
A multi-supplier RFQ sends the same request for quotation to a group of suppliers at once and tracks each supplier's response against the same requirement.
Where it appears in procurement
Inviting several suppliers creates competition and a like-for-like comparison, provided every supplier receives identical specifications and compliance requirements.
Example
A buyer invites four verified packaging suppliers to one RFQ with a two-week deadline; two respond, one declines, one is reminded before the deadline.
