Glossary
Procurement automation
Procurement automation is the use of software to perform repetitive procurement tasks: capturing requirements, identifying requirements and suppliers, issuing RFQs, chasing responses, collecting quotations and creating purchase orders.
Where it appears in procurement
Automation is most valuable where the same information is re-typed several times. Decisions such as supplier approval and quotation selection are usually kept with people.
Example
A requirement captured once flows into the RFQ, the quotation comparison, the purchase order and the ERP without being re-entered.
In Complyra
Complyra automates requirement parsing, regulation identification, supplier matching and ranking, RFQ drafting and distribution, notifications and reminders, quotation collection, purchase order creation and ERP export.
