Supplier verification
Supplier verification is the check that a supplier is who it says it is and that its submitted documents are genuine, current and relevant.
Where it appears in procurement
Verification is the evidence step inside qualification. It is weakest when it is a self-declared badge and strongest when a person reviews documents against stated requirements.
Example
An administrator opens a supplier's uploaded ISO 9001 certificate, checks the certificate number, issuing body and expiry date, and approves or rejects the application with a reason.
In Complyra
Complyra's verification is an administrator review of the supplier profile and uploaded documents, with approve or reject outcomes and expiry tracking afterwards.
