Supplier risk management for regulated products
For regulated goods the most controllable supplier risk is compliance risk: evidence that is missing, expired or for the wrong product version. It is reduced by requiring evidence before the order and tracking it afterwards.

The risks that matter most
- Compliance risk: the supplier cannot evidence that the product meets the destination market's rules.
- Expiry risk: certificates lapse and nobody notices until an audit or a held shipment.
- Change risk: the product's materials or factory change and the evidence no longer applies.
- Concentration risk: one supplier for a critical item.
- Responsiveness risk: slow or incomplete responses that stretch cycle time.
Controls a procurement team can run
- Require the compliance document list in every RFQ and treat missing items as disqualifying.
- Record certificate numbers, issuers and expiry dates, and chase renewals in advance.
- Re-check compliance when a product version, material or factory changes.
- Keep a second qualified supplier for critical categories.
- Track responsiveness and document completeness as part of the supplier record.
What Complyra provides
Compliance checks against applicable regulations, required documents written into the RFQ, certificate review by an administrator with expiry tracking, and a trust score built from the supplier's activity on the platform. Complyra does not provide financial risk ratings or site audits.
Next step
Complyra checks product and supplier information against regulatory requirements to support procurement decisions. It does not issue certifications or guarantee legal compliance; final responsibility for compliance remains with the buyer and supplier.
