Declaration of Conformity (DoC)
A declaration of conformity is a document in which the manufacturer or importer declares that a product meets the requirements of the applicable legislation.
Where it appears in procurement
For EU regulations such as RoHS, CE marking and food-contact rules the DoC is the primary document a buyer should request. It is self-declared, so it should be backed by test reports.
Example
An EU declaration of compliance for a plastic food container references EU 10/2011 and is accompanied by a migration test report.
